Henna plant yield

If I had a henna plant, it would take three years for me to be able
to harvest it, right?
If I used the leaves fresh, how many Indian brides (finger to elbow,
toe to knee, pretty much coated) could I do with one plant's
sustainable harvest, or how many plants would it take?
Where do I find info on growing henna so that it gives as fine a
stain as possible?
