I was just in Calgary 2 weeks ago looking for the same thing!I live in the Middle East and so far have had no luck mixing my own paste with the Indian powders I have found here locally. I was only there for 5 days so I didn't have a lot of time to look but I'll tell you what I found. I went to Kensington and found one store that sold kits and one that sold bags of some Indian powder. I didn't recognize the brand so I didn't buy. I unfortunately can't remember the names of the stores. One was on 10th and was called something about 'new age crystals' or the like. The other thing I tried to do was to contact a henna artist there to ask what they were using and if they sold any. I found a link to a Calgary artist on The Beautiful Art of Mehndi web page (http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Park/7445). The artist's name is Surbhi and his web page is at http://members.nbci.com/hennabodyart/index.html (I'll try and post a link to the Beautiful Art site, but I'm technologically challenged and not sure if it will work). Surbhi has an e-mail address and phone number. I just got his answering machine when I tried it. Also on the Beautiful Art web page under artists in Canada was a listing for someone named Ashley who is working out of Dragon Child Metaphysical at 916a 16th Ave. NW. There was a phone number for her, too. Perhaps you can try phoning one of them to see if they sell powder or paste? If you find a source, please post back on the forum as I'd be interested in knowing. I'll be moving back to Calgary in a few years and plan to keep up my henna hobby there. Hope some of this helps! Angela
