Hello everyone,

I am arranging with Mark to have him put up my website. I will sell
my ceramic creations; alters I have purchased and some I have made;
ceramic supplies; snuff bottles and some other related items. I am
also selling henna powder in a way that I am excited about and hope
others will be as well. Details will follow in a couple of weeks in
the form of a very blatant plug.

With that tease of an announcement out of the way, I am looking for
people who will want to contribute their objective commentary and
perhaps a picture of their original henna designs and work. I have
tested about 8 different henna powders (all 100% natural henna) and
have a few more to test. I have a number of variables I am testing
for and listing results. Basically they are things like paste
consistency, clogging factor, staining properties at certain time
intervals, color of stain, demise of stain, and demise of paste. I
am going to record only what occurs and not my opinions. I hope also
to put up pics as examples of this. The henna powders that I am
testing are Jamila, Moroccan, Indian (Sondarya's), Navaid's,
Sudanese, Gambian, Life Art, Raed, Rezaeyeh, MHD and Iranian. I
would like to add to my results the objective comments (using the
same variables...you don't have to use all of them) of others who use
these henna powders. I would also like to put a picture of your work
using the powder you are commenting on next to your comment. I will
include your name and credit you for the comment, the design and the
picture. I have tested all of the henna powders with the same recipe
that includes the powder, lemon, sugar and cajeput. Since different
people will get different results with the same henna powder based on
a multitude of other factors including recipe ingredients, skin,
process, etc. I would like to have pics of results other people have
gotten from the same henna powder to prove the point. If you are a
henna artist and want to note that and your location, I will include
that information as well.

If anyone has a henna powder that I have not listed above and would
like it to be included, I will gladly do so if you want to provide me
with a small sample to test in the same way. I am also including
information on creative sealants like Alissa's glitter goop. (My
subjective view is that it is great fun, effective and the easiest I
have found to work with.) If anyone has found something else I would
be willing to try it and provide information on the outcome.

Since time is of the essense, I would appreciate any contributions of
information and pics as soon as possible. Please email me or post
here and I will get in touch with you to figure out the how tos. I
hope a number of you will pitch in and help me out. And I am
thanking you and sending you blessings now for any consideration and
time you will give to this.

Stay tune for the birthing of Renee's li'l web.

Maureen
