I have a design on my arm that was fading, it was originally done in
a premix paste. I went over it last night and addedd a lot more to
it, going around and under the forarm on the wrist. I used my own
mix ( jamilla, lemon, small amount tamarind concentrate) I
sugar/lemoned the whole thing and waited two hours. A peice fell of
leaving absolutely no visible stain. So... I steamed the design for
about 5 minutes then tissued it and then cling filmed it and slept on
it.
This morning the tissue was brown and upon peeling it off had not
smudged ( much to my surprize). Now heres the curious bit. Under my
wrist is a dark walnut shell/orangey colour, some of the old retraced
design is also the same colour, however part of the old design is
hardley visible and a strip of the new design on the inner side of my
arm running from wrist towards elbow, is also very weak. I would have
thought that the darkest stain would have been the old design being
retouched and the under wrist I was expecting to be very weak as it
is not thick or hard skin. Any suggestions?
