I do KNOW that the hennartist wasn´t the miniature painture..in
medival persia, the hennaartist also did the hair, the parfumes, the
nails.but the miniature painter did the walls, made
miniatures................in a king´s house men had an own "stylist"
and women had an own "stylist"..but there was just ONE miniature
painter.....

The hennaartist alway had to design designs..which were something
special and diffrend to the other king´s hennas...simmilar
today:jennifer lo has her own hairstylist and wants
something "unaverage" and destiny´s child have theire own
styler.......

In old persia , in king´s homes the hennas were not really based on
the islam.I have even redrwan 2 miniatures in which women´s faces are
in the design.or in which you can really see animals.......and this
was nOT allowed.......like sex is not allowed before wedding but 90%
have soem boyfreind´s/gurlfriends before wedding.......

BUT in folk´s henna the meinings were VERY important!

My miniature redrwaings are from Isfahan,Shiraz ,Kashan,Balouch and
from Theran.
