Hand Pattern in Indian VideoPosted by Marina Waltz on September 7, 2001 at 18:00:01: I recently saw in Indian music video where the singer had an unusualpattern on her hands. My Hindi is extremely limited and the only word I understood was the word for "life", but from what I could tell, the singer represented fate. She had the lines of her palms hennaed, so they looked alot like maps for palm-readers. Very interesting look, and very different from traditional patterns. Aside from the henna, I found the video itself interesting. If I understood it correctly, it depicted two versions of the life of a young woman. One was where she caught a boat and one was where she missed it. Both versions of the subsequent events were shown - one timeline in black & white, the other in color. Eventually both time- lines ended up at the same place and the two versions of her self merged together. Fate rules. Wish I could understand the words!
