yay! you're a libra and like chai! long lost sister mine! n/tPosted by Darlahood on September 9, 2001 at 07:00:59: In reply to: Re:CCJ's results posted by Alissa on September 9, 2001 at 03:13:28: : :There's no way to fake that. I can't fake my photos.: : There's nothing I'm doing that I'm not telling you .... : : Oh I definitely don't think you have in any way tried to fake us out. : I can only speak for myself, but my guess is others feel this way as : well. It's frustrating to see such beautiful results -- as you said, : your photos don't lie -- and not be able to reproduce them with what : seems like such enviable ease. (Personally, I think its years of good : henna ju-ju accumulated and oozing out your pores -- and maybe into : those you're adorning too!) But even without getting espresso, black : cherry or the like, I've found the terp information incredibly : helpful. Super fast stains (which I definitely have achieved) are a : BIG bonus. : : And even more, I think it's intriguing. You've said before that you : enjoy the fickle nature of this blessed plant -- that "like bread or : spaghetti sauce" you combine the same ingredients and it's not : exactly same each time. One thing I've noticed in my own terp : experiments is that my terp designs don't seem to have the rapid : demise as reported. In side by side terp and non-terps I don't seem : to suffer the here-today-gone-tomorrow results. So maybe I'm not : seeing black cherry, but my designs arent vanishing into thin air... : so that has to even out the scales somewhat. (showing my Libra nature : there) : : Last bonus (to me) is finding a way to extend the life of a paste, as : Maureen mentioned. I can use up that old henna and still get nice : results, which appeals to the frugalist in me. : : And oh! don't you just LOVE the way TT and geranium smells? It's one : of about 30 recipes I "discovered" after your Sirius results were : posted (some fave riffs on that scent, add a dash of lavendar, or a : bit of ravensara). So count that as another bonus -- yummmm smelling : paste. My favorite of the moment is nutmeg, clove and frankincense, : mmmmmmm it smells like tiramissu. It's so rich and it just smells : like Fall to me. And I happened to notice while making a cup of chai : the other day that if I were to add cardamom to this mix (maybe leave : out the frankincense though) and you've got the main chai : ingredients. Imagine that! Chai-smelling henna paste! Is there : ANYTHING better??? (sorry... I tangented on the smell issue...) : :) : : -Alissa, making a mental note to go and fetch some cardamom soon from : the local organic granola-happy store where she buys EO's.
