even "natural" things can cause an allergic reaction. Cows milk,
wheat, tomatoes, citrus fruits the list is endless.
A childs immune system does not reach maturity until the child is
about eight years old. Anything can be a potential allergin. Since we
use lemons and other citrus friuts in our brews and a whole load of
other "natural" ingredients i prefer the child to be a late five year
old as to an early five year old. Although still not fully mature,
their immune systen by this age will have come into contact with most
of the ingredients we mix with henna therefore there is less chance
of causing sensitivity to one or other of the ingredients.
I have not used any of the sirus mixes yet either. I have put a
little tea tree into the henna but i would happily use that on a
young child as an antiseptic for a minor cut. I don't feel i could
subject a childs immune system to EOs just yet as i haven't done the
right research.
Also how many under fives do you know who can keep still for longer
than two minutes, even if they can, the 'smudge factor potential' is
really high
However this is only my opinion, each to thier own

: why would their immune system need to be mature enough for a
natural
: plant dye?
