Re: Terped paste success ... the spaghetti sauce paradigm, and a question for Zimra and ShanonPosted by Natasha Papousek on September 10, 2001 at 04:29:58: In reply to: Terped paste success ... the spaghetti sauce paradigm, and a question for Zimra and Shanon posted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on September 9, 2001 at 15:13:44: I've found the Sirius mix, tea tree/lavender or cajeput/lavender, towork nicely. It gives me reliable dark brown stains anywhere -- even on my hubby's upper arm, which never stained before. I haven't quite gotten the deep reds, chocolates, burgundies as described in the "Secret" diaries...but I attribute that to climate difference. It's been a cool summer here in San Diego -- never more than 85F, and often dipping into the 50;s at night. Also, it hasn't rained since early May, and the average humidity is very low. I remember the gonzo stains I got in Texas where the average summer temperature doesn't drop below 90F 24hours a day for months at a time. And I know the midwest is miserable in the summer -- hot and humid during the day, and hot and humid at night. However, I'm really happy with my terp mixes...I like knowing that they always work, and that I can reliably do armbands. So, the darkest color so far has been milk chocolate -- it's a consistent milk chocolate that stays milk chocolate until it disappears.
