: Ok... so I just got back from the wonderful, fantablous Pittsburgh
: Irish fest and am greatly disturbed. There was a booth, a rather
: large one with a rather large clientel that was
advertising "Airbrush
: tatoos". The funny thing was that the sign said "Lasts for days *
: Waterproof * Removed Easily" first of all if it lasts for days and
is
: waterproof how is it removed easily? Secondly, out of curiousity
and
: general nervousness about PPD and all lately I asked them what it
was
: that they used to make the tatoos. Two people from the booth looked
: at me like I had either A.) Just hopped off the boat or B.) Just
: escaped the looney bin! They said simply "an airbrush" to which I
: replied, "Well, I mean what sort of paint or whatever is it that
you
: use?" They continued to look at me like I was a fool and
: said "airbrush paint". I kind of nodded and walked away appaled at
: the lack of knowledge from the booth's staff. You know I really
think
: that people see the word temporary and automatically
: think "harmless". Personally outside of those "lick-em-n-stick-em"
: tatoos I would really want to know what it was that I was paying
: someone to put on my body. I'm still disturbed and may call the
: people in charge of the Irish fest about it. I mean with PPD and
all
: going around as rampant as it has been, I'm really nervous and edgy
: around anything that isn't as safe as good ol 100% pure henna.
: Any advice on measures I could take, or anyone out there with any
: knowledge of airbrush art or the paint involved please let me know.
: Thanks, and Blessings,
: Sarah B
