How effective is lemon juice concentrate- the bottled stuff or the
stuff that comes in the little plastic lemons. Is it as effective as
regular lemon juice?

Also, does anyone order henna from natural food stores? I talked to
the people in the Village Market today and they said that the henna
they order comes in a foil wrapped package. That makes me wonder how
fresh it is, and id it has been exposed to air during storage and
shipment.

Last weekend I did my first mixture and tattoos on myself. I used
some extremely old henna that I have had since Feb. It was actually
khaki colored, but since I never did my own recipe before, I didn't
want to waste my good stuff until I got the hang of the texture. I
used the henna, lemon juice concentrate, sugar and tea tree oil (the
wal-mart stuff). My designs came out very well ( I think I need a
smaller jaquard bottle!)- but extremely light. I was prepared for
this though- using old henna. Surprisingly- the tattoos on my calves
are still there- at about the same color they were on Sunday. It was
not as complicated as I thought it would be. If I can get the pics
off my digital camera I'll post them on here.
