By Americanizing I : mean making it quick and not as traditional as it could be. : : Comments? Questions?j : My opinion, for whatever it's worth ... do whatever works for you. Know in your heart you are continuing your love for an art form, and stencils are allowing you to continue to do that while in pain. The alternative is not to mehndi at all, right? So I'd say it's better to keep yourself henna-happy. I also had reallll bad carpal tunnel several years back & sympathize w/the pain youre in. It took about a zillion different types of meds and therapy (traditional phy. therapy didnt cut it) but there can be an end to the pain. Rest is the absolute best -- cumulative rest to fight cumulative injury -- but not exactly practical. My "cure" came from some pretty unlikely sources, but after years of chronic pain, you'll try anything. So keep trying! I hope you find the relief you need as well, and soon! Email me if you would like to talk more about it, and just know I say do whatever you need to do to keep doing the things you love while coping w/this condition.
