Nimda Virus CautionPosted by Baron on September 19, 2001 at 18:59:10: I dislike posting off topic subjects but in view of the problems theSircam virus caused several regulars a while back I think one warning is justified. The latest Ninba virus is a really malicious virus that also attaches jave script versions to html documents amongst other things, so if you have your own website please make sure your virus software is bang up to date. Otherwise you may upload an infected file to your site!! . My son has just spent the best part of 24 hours purging this from the company systems.... despite them having up to date protections and fire walls. I have linked to the info page of Mcafee. Very ugly reading Remember. If you have not updated the dat files on your virus program today you will not have ANY defence against this. Note the warning in bold type on the Mcafee site *the attachment can be executed even if the user does not open it*!!!!!
