Every culture has a shared visual language, symbols, just as they have
spoken language, gesture language and musical language.

Personally, I use and believe in words, gestures (both polite and
impolite), auditory and musical symbols (like whistles, or the happy
birthday song), and a large variety of visual symbols from stop signs
to peace doves.

I'm also fascinated with the visual symbols from other cultures and
times (perhaps because I'm so lousy at learning languages!)

I try to make henna patterns that have symbolic meaning (link below to
some such)
