I Love New Orleans! Didn't mean to be misunderstood.

My family is from New Orleans. I lived there for a while as a child
and I have come back quite often over the years. It is my favorite
city and I love it.

I understand their customs and feelings. I am not complaining about
the flags or anything anyone was doing. The flags made me smile.
I'm just saying when I came back it felt different. It usually has a
familier home type of feel.
This time the energy was different and very strange. It wasn't
ghostly. It felt wrong.

In response to txilar yes people were flying their Americian Flags
with others. They usually do down there. Although I did see any
others redressed as a substitute. Most often the Louisiana state flag
of 1912 ( the current one) and a French flag are flown with it. Other
times people fly the old flags of France and Spain, The Lousiana
Nation flag and the West Florida Parish flag.

Darla I did stay in a nice historic inn. It was really a nice cozy
place. I have never stayed at the Marriott but I know what you mean!
It's big and modern. Also it's in the CBD.

The trip as a whole was very good. We went a couple of beautiful
plantations, walked around the french quarter, rode down Esplanade
and walked through the Saint Louis Cemeteries.
