Back when I was using Rainbow Henna, the directions say to wait two
weeks or ten shampoos before or after doing anything chemical to
henna your hair. For my wedding, I had a perm and three weeks later
hennaed and got exactly the results I wanted. I have also hennaed
and then permed two weeks later and had no problems. I do have very
accomodating hair, and after the warnings posted here I think I will
be more careful in waiting longer in the future, just in case, but I
think there may be more stuff going on in the melted/fried/green hair
equation than henna and chemicals don't play well together.

: People have asked me many times how long to wait before
hennaeing ....
: and I've never been able to give them an answer because I don't
know
: what products they're using. I know that time and shampoos
eventually
: get the stuff out that would react ..... It's good to know that it
: can be as early as 8 weeks!
:
: Whatever you did .... do it again!
