I get to do the Palestinians!

I don't know if this made anything but local news, but a 10 year-old
Palestinian girl got shot in the head and had to be flown over here
to Hartford, CT, with her mom to get the bullet removed. She's
apparently fine now. Anyway, I saw the article in the paper and
wrote to the place they're living and offered to do henna for them,
to cheer them up and give them a little bit of home. It took a while
to get in touch, but I finally succeeded and I'm going over there
tonight. I'm bringing a few books for them to look at, and I
probably won't end up doing anything terribly elaborate, but I'm very
excited to be doing it. It's a small thing, but it feels like doing
my part to balance the wrongs done to some middle-easterners in
recent weeks.
