Henna does seem to do something excellent for the scalp. It has an
interesting impact on epidermal skin ... it seems to be an
anti-dessicant. Dandruff is dead, flaking, epidermal skin.

Of course, that's what tannins do to leather. They "tan" it, keep it
soft, so it doesn't go hard and brittle.

When I keep my left hand fingertips hennaed, and not my right, there
is no cuticle breaking on the left, and the usual on the right.
