Don't bother with kits. Because a kit is designed by a retailer, that
retailer has put their own bias in according to what they think you
should have/what they want to sell. Kits are like TV dinners. There
may be one excellent thing in the package, but there will also be a
few mediocre things and at least one thing that's absolutely useless
....

Go to the site linked below, and have a look around. It'll show you
how to start with plain henna powder and get gonzo results! If you
see a pic you like, use that henna and that technique. I list the
supplier and technique on the same page as each pic. There's detailed
instrutions and all. Get some good fresh henna (links will be to
suppliers are all around the rabbit hole, and the rest of the stuff
you probably have around the house. Cooking your own dinner, and your
own henna, is the best way to go!
