One of my best friends told me that he often feels he should go around
to everyone who knew him when he was 20 something and press forehead
to ground and thank them for not excising him from the planet.

I feel pretty much the same about myself, though extending to about
45 seconds previous to the present moment. (At all times.)

What you feel is normal and excellent. It means you're growing. We're
a sentient breed of monkeys, and so we have a sense of how we were in
the past and how we might be in the future. That's why we're the only
breed of monkeys to need psychiatrists and/or priests ... it's also
why we're the only monkeys to BE psychiatrists and/or priests.

For the rest of us ... being patient with others is how we earn our
right to be admitted through the door every morning we wake up!

Remember the last time you were with someone who felt they had it
right, an always had it right, and never had anything to apologize
for, and were unwilling to accept anyone else's shortcomings?
Insufferable b*st*rd, yes? Dangerous, too!

You're a good person Nick, being patient with you never seemed a
burden and never will. You're a joy to have on the forum!
