Wedding partiesPosted by Nick on October 1, 2001 at 19:34:39: In reply to: Paste Recipie posted by Lori on October 1, 2001 at 05:52:47: Rule number one for wedding parties: DON"T GET CHEATED.I know this firsthand, it having happened to me. Make sure that you get all the details of what you will be doing VERY clear, WELL in advance. As for pricing, set a base rate of say $150-$250, depending on the size of the party and the number of guests (of course than can always fluctuate depending on who you're doing it for... charge more for rich folk.) That base rate can work as a down payment if you like, or you could do a 'phone company' type thing, i.e. $200 for the first 4 hours, and anything after that is $70 an hour. Don't charge by the design. It's much to tedious. If the party is cancelled, this is when the down payment kicks in. I would request that they send you the down payment at least one week in advance, and this becomes unreturnable if they cancel within 48 hours of the party date. ~Nick, rambling way beyond what you probably needed to know, but i hope it helps anyways! : Hello All, : With all the new info on terps and cajeput oil and such, i still get : the best results i have ever gotten with my old recipie of: : henna, lemon juice, black tea w/madder root added and a couple of : cloves mixed in. Every time i stray from my recipie to add something : new, it just doesn't seem to work for me...hmmm. I am happy to stick : with what works for me. My latest paste is a week old and still gives : great color after being in the fridge. One more thing...what is a : recommended average base price for wedding parties? : Thanks : Lori (boise's mehndigirl)
