It's not the end of the rainbow, but it's got better info on pattern meaning than most anything else I've seen. The book isn't all traditional, but some is. The big mama will come along when I get that part of the encyclopedia written. Meanings of patterns can be elusive, but they're there if you know where to look. It takes patience, and detective work, and exploring parallel arts like weaving, rangoli and ceramics. (What I've seen so far in the paperback books on henna is mostly innacurate.)
