It was FLAT. I can well believe you have Chicago (where I lived as a baby and only remember big snow banks and a nightmare about the furnace chasing me down the street) beat on the wind thing. I love snow, myself. However, last winter when it snowed over 18 inches in 36 hours it did strain that love. I think we average like 70 or 80 inches, or maybe it is 60 to 70. We haven't had a normal year in awhile. Last year we had snow piles from plowing-neighbor came over with his tractor and bucket- over 15 feet high. We also had record flooding come spring. The most I can remember at one time was the Halloween blizzard about 10 yrs ago. The Twin cities got 39 inches in about 24hrs. I don't think you are a whimp, I just know I'm crazy-must be something in the water up here ;) Try to keep warm and hope the henna still gets dark for you! jolynn-who has already had 6 nights below freezing and wishes she were in Oklahoma. : Hi there. OK OK You definately have us beat!!! We do reach 0 and : below, but I don't think it has ever happened for a week. Our big : deal here is the wind. Chicago has nothing on us there. Our winter : temps range right around freezing. I know it is nothing compared to : what you guys have. I love the snow. Are you laughing, saying yeah : right? I do though. We do get snow but not for very long periods of : time. Like two to three weeks at any one time. It melts and then : comes back again. I will actually travel to Colorado just to play : and ski in it. How much snow do you guys get? : : I don't have a heated waterbed, but I love my electric blanket. I : would trade it for a heated waterbed though. : : Peace be with you, : : Lisa K (who feels like a whimp now that can't handle the cold!!)
