Thank you CCJ.I thought I should check my pose on my video camera but
I couldn't. I remembered to keep my neck straigtas I reach and then I
forgot while starting the design on ones hand. I was busy for a week
landscaping my yard for a week, putting my hands in the dirt all the
time. I made sure I wouldn't get tamped doing any thing when my
landscaper come on Monday which I made clear to him on Sunday that
don't expect any help from me. On Monday I manicured myself for 10
min. One very important thing I did not do, was I didn't even got to
draw a design on my own hand. I am trying to get reed of my previous
design witch is barley visible so that I am ready for next at the
time of Karvachoth(Special day when most of all the married women
apply Henna on their hand, if they fast on that day)
It went Ok. I got only 15 min. to talk and make a small design. I
think that was very less time to cover so much. I managed to give a
small demo of small design and cover about black henna just as a
warning to be aware of, and showed how it looks in powder form. I
made sure I wouldn't let air time go quite at all. I could speak
about my book and show one design from my personal drawing for bride.
I happen to get more compliment before and after the show about how
do I look and that also gave me confidence about at least dressing
up. I went in Sari (in traditional dress) I also manage to get my own
Video from my personal camera. I couldn't give my contact information
to viewers (I hope they did or will do later).
I was more worried about being nervous then actually was. It was
comfortable once I was chatting with the host on the air.
* (Infect my son was with me and when the host asked for the time
requirement , my son pointed out that they should give at least an
hour. On what host said (jokingly), I didn't know you brought your
agent also. What I was amazed that my son being sixth grader had a
pretty good idea how much time we need to draw and talk then I knew
myself.
My next demo will be in Andover senior center in MA on Nov 7th. Any
one in Boston area can visite but you have to call them first. I am
going to give demo on Sari (How to wear and Mehndi).

: It's important that you not get shy. DOMINATE the interview, and
keep
: it moving quickly in the direction YOU want it to go! Know before
you
: walk into that studio exactly what you want to accomplish.
:
: You'll likely have an adrenalin rush .. make sure you go
into "fight"
: mode rather than "flight" mode.
:
: Know everything forwards, backward, inbetween and upside down.
Being
: in camera is disorienting.
:
: I don't recommend watching the show when sober. Seeing yourself on
: the little box is generally withering. Other people, however, may
: congradulate you on a job well done. Listen to them.
:
: My husband was a professional newsman once, my daughter is
presently
: in charge of shooting vids and has been filmed many times. Both
have
: given me excellent advice. Gwyn sez: park yourself so your body is
: profile or 3/4 to the camera. If you have your torso square to the
: camera, you'll instantly gain 20 pounds. Face the camera, or
: wherever, but make sure your torso is at an angle to the camera if
you
: don't want to feel you need to eat spiders, grape peels and tofu
for
: months afterwards.
