So, I was an hour late to my meeting with my regular customer Lynn, I
guess now you could say that she's my friend after what we went
through tonight. It wasn't that bad..... I guess.....

Traffic was just miserable, by the time I got to her house I had an
awful headache from sitting in front of these huge Suburban Attack
vehicles from Yuppie-Land with these incredibly bright, blinding
headlights.

I found Lynn's street, but I didn't know which house it was because
apparently they'd given up on me and turned off the outside light so
I couldn't read the house numbers. Finally muddled around to a house
number I could read and counted backwards. I parked in the yard and
the first thing that happened was Lynn's husband coming over to my
car and saying, "You almost ran over one of our sprinklers!"

Oh Joy!

There were all Lynn's husband's friends around the house and they
were all like, "ew, what are you doing?!" And to make matters worse
we were watching Men In Black and they kept making alien henna
comments about Lynn's head.

I thought SHE had the gloves, she thought I had the gloves, so I
went gloveless and thought, "Well, I've been meaning to henna my
nails again anyway..."

Finally guys left, kids went to bed, movie was over and Lynn went to
wash the henna out of her hair.

Then she comes out of the bathroom and says, "Is this pulp in my
hair?" I hadn't strained the paste at all after I made it thinking,
oh it's just for hair, not like I have to get it through a jaq
bottle, right? Oh no, I spent the better part of a half hour picking
lime grits out of her hair.

*sigh*

If the color on my palms is any indication I think her hair took the
henna nicely. :)
