And can you draw the design: first with say a washable marker and do the henna over it? We have tried everything from "watercolor" pencils to graphite. Some don't work at all, and some do work, but not consistently when used for transfers. The best product we have found is a product used by permanent tattoo artists. It's called a hectograph pencil. It looks like a regular pencil, but transfers a light purple design to the skin. It works far more consistently than any other product we have tried....(even on hairy arms or legs) Here's what you do: Trace your design using the hectograph pencil. Apply a light coat of KY Jelly or similar product to the area of skin you want to transfer the design to. Press the design against the moistened skin, then peel away. A purple copy (but in reverse)of your design will be left behind. Alcohol will also work, but too much will cause the design to "bleed". You can also dip them in alcohol, tap off excess, and use them to draw directly onto the skin. You can find them at Spaulding and Rodgers, or at our website, www.hennaworks.com Best of Luck
