Hey there,

I think it's great how much you know about your state. I wish we had
more interesting things to tell about. We have a bunch of different
places where the "old west" criminals hung out. You know in our
hills and caves. HAHA Some of those are pretty neat. We have several
caves that provide homes for tons of bats. You have made me really
think about what is here.

Amy at Castle Art talked me into the latex. I really like it other
than the smell. Yuck! It is a lot like Elmer's glue. You remember
when you were a kid and put it in your hand and let it dry so you
could peel it off? The difference is the texture when it dries. It
is like rubber. It makes your skin sweat and therefor great stain.
Be sure to powder the area after it dries. This prevents it from
sticking to itself.

I ordered the variety pack of henna that Maureen sells. She threw in
some of the fresh Iranian henna she has. I'm interested in the red
stains. I will let you know how it turns out. You saw what I
thought about the Moroccan stuff Lauren has. I just love it. Can
you tell I am getting ready for winter?

I really like the idea of your cheat sheet. Sounds just like what I
need. I have a book that has everyone else's designs in it that I
then mutilate. I also really love the gel pen idea. Gonna get some
of those. Thanks for that tip. I need all the help I can get in
that area. I have a great recipe ot two, I just can't draw.

Your dragonfly sounds really neat, especially with what you do with
the gel pens. That's great your kids get into it. I have had a
lotus on my palm since I started. My best friend asked for the most
unique design yet, a chicken. She saw it in a book of her 5 year old
daughter. It came out really well. She liked it, all that matters.

I can't believe you like to hunt. That is so rare. I hardly ever
share that with anyone because most people don't get it, the
management thing much less how fun it is to be in the woods. I am an
only kid and dad has had me in the woods since I was 2. I shot my
first deer 2 years ago. It was pretty intense. I have helped my dad
& uncles carry and clean them, no problem. Whole new ballgame when I
was the one responsible. I cried and cried and I'm not a cryer. My
poor boyfriend didn't know what to do. When we first met he had just
started hunting. He was so impressed with everything I knew and have
taught him quite a bit. The year before he took my dad with us and
he shot a doe to donate. After we were through cleaning it, (hold
on) I opened the stomach to see what it had been eating. That is
what my dad taught me. Most people who hunt don't even know. I had
no idea it would effect me so. I will continue to hunt, just don't
know if I will take anything home.

That is so funny about the squirrels. OK, it's probably not. My
neighbor takes shots at them all the time. He can't hit the broad
side of a barn and we are in city limits. He is 80. I live next to
a big lot so there isn't much danger, but you just never know.

So what is a snow fence and hardware cloth? Sounds like you guys do
have a deer problem. Do you like venison? I don't care for it at
all, except in jerky form. If you do and Tim doesn't get one we can
send ya some. Sounds like you guys have a beautiful place.

What a great experience for your kids, visiting an extinct vulcano.
(Especially on that day) Too bad about the lava thing. Once he sees
pictures or a movie of people running for their lives, it won't be
such a bummer. Is he too young to really get the documentries on the
Discovery Chanel? I have seen some really awesome footage there. I
used to love pinatas. Sounds like you are a great mom. Pretty cool
one too. How did it turn out?

So did it snow yet? Gosh I miss it. Are you slapping you forehead
wondering if I'm all there? I'm not. We are supposed to have our
first freeze this weekend. I doubt it will happen, but you never
know. Our weather is something else. I know a lot of people say
that. But just a week ago, one day it is in the 70s, next day 40.
Go figure. Our relatives that live in Tucson, say they dress to
strip when they are here. (Their not close relatives ;))

Hope everything is well. Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Lisa K
