Yes, you should be able to create a page without having to put a link
to the page.

You don't have to create a html page to post the pic here.
Upload the pictures to a separate folder on your website, and just
post the file path to the pic. Here is a pic that i have uploaded to
my webspace but don't have it on a page.
eg. http://members.home.com/images/img9.gif

When you create the Gallery page, just don't us the <title> or the
<meta> tags. When you want to post the link here, just do:
www.domainname.com/folder/anotherfolder/gallery.html
