Henna has been used on animals for thousands of years, to mark
livestock, beautify horses, goats, cats, dogs and camels ... but is
rarely "tested" on them, in the cosmetic industry sense.

I got sent a copy of one test done on rats by a henna supplier in
Pakistan. They hennaed some rats, and 3 days later, the rats were
declared colorful and healthy.

Pure Lawsone has been animal tested .... but henna is not the same as
pure lawsone.
