Thank you for including the recipe. I have been thinking about trying
this. Question: does it have to be elmer's glue and does it have to be
white glue. Elmers has a school glue that is clear blue with glitter
that I thought might be fun. Also, woul plain hair gel work? most body
glitter is pretty much just hair gel with color, scent and glitter. I
make my own body glitter using hair gel. makes me very popular with
the nieces!
thanks for any help with this

: : I think I can make it, but I'm thinking it would be too thick or
: get
: : all over me. You are obviously successful with it- what are you
: : doing?
: : Lauren
:
: I store mine in a j-bottle at room temp. It doesn't seal itself up,
: like I was afraid it might. I squueze a litte on to a qtip to apply,
: but your henna should be *very* dry, as the goop will re-wet it,
: sometimes mine will go from dull dry brown back to frshly applied
: green after the goop is on. The smear factor is huuuge at that
point,
: so I caution others I'm painting to *be still & blow on it!* But
wow,
: once it's dry you can really be fairly rough on it and it holds
: together.
:
: I use about 1/5 elmers glitter glue to 4/5 cheap hair/body glitter
: gel in the j-bottle. And, like Maureen said, you can put a henna dot
: to touch up those little cracks, even if the goop is still wet. A
lil
: dab'll do ya and it seals right into the design. More than a dot can
: result in a watercolor blur instead of crisp lines.
:
: Let us know how it works if you try it! :) And how did your party go
: (I havent finished reading new posts, so ignore that if you've
posted
: your adventure tale already.)
