I tried adding fenugreek to my liquid brew to add to the powder to
make my paste. I did notice that it made the paste a little more
stringy but I didn't notice anything about a slower drying time.
Stringy henna is very good because you can pull out really long
lines with it as it doesn't break partway through. Too much
stringyness can be hard to deal with because you can't break the
line when you really want to. My spring crop of Moroccan henna
tends to be quite stringy and is a joy to work with. As for slowing
down the drying time and keeping your henna from flaking, I
suggest adding some sugar to you mix...this helps a LOT.
