I suspect that terped lawsones are larger than plain lawsones ... and
therefore you need warmer skin to get good penetration and binding
with terped henna.

The fingertips at the pic linked below shows the difference between
terped and non-terped henna right next to each other.... yehbaby
there's a difference!

Non-keratinized skin is where the terped henna really rocks. You can
get wonderful palm stains either way. The terps succeed where plain
henna fades out, like that inner wrist shown below. No way I can get
that color there withoug terps.

Again ... so much depends on the quality of the terps and alchemy...
and LUCK. Nothing is ever a done deal in henna!
