That's hard to deal with if you want to use the terped paste on
clients. It's hard to pinpoint what might be going awry without
more details, also I would assume that every henna powder acts
differently. I assume that you are still getting good stains using
this powder so it is probably not staleness.

I think that it has more to do with timing. That was the biggest
factor when i was playing around with terps. With my paste I
have to mix it up without terps, wait 24 hours, mix in the terps and
then use it. it works best when I use it more than 48 hours after
the initial mixing and is good for about 3 days after that. That is
the timing situation with my Moroccan henna. Yours may be
different.

As we talked about via email, I think we should meet up to fulfill
our craving for henna and also to do some experiments with your
powder and with mine. ideally, it would be great to have a whole
bunch of different pastes to try, some that are only 24 hours old,
some that are 72 hours old, some where the terps were mixed in
at the beginning, some where they were mixed in after 24 hours
and even some where the terps are added to old unterped
paste.

It is possible to get the dark colors we just have to tweak and
experiment. I'm up for it when you have time.
