MDH Henna powder (results).

I met Lezard recently (lovely chap!!) and he gave me some henna to
try. It's MDH Henna which he bought when he was in Thailand (and I
believe you got it pretty cheap too, eh Lezard?). I think I've seen
it on the forum before (or someone mentioning about it). Lezard
wanted me to try it 'cos it gave him great results. He gets almost
black stains on his soles after just 1 hour.

I mixed it up with bottled lime juice (the drinking kind) and soaked
it for about 3 - 4 hours (I put it out in the hot sun for about an
hour). Then I added ravensara and cajeput EOs and let the paste sit
for another 4 - 5 hours before I applied it on my right hand. I was
so inspired by Catherine's right hand henna that I hennaed my right
hand that very same night I saw her post (thank you, Catherine!!).

I took one hour to finish drawing (didn't know I'm a lefty henna
person .. heheh) and went to bed with no sealants or wraps. The paste
was on the skin for about 4 hours. When I scraped it off, the stain
was a bright reddish orange. It only started darkening about 24 hours
later. I was watching the darkening process! Now (3 days later), some
parts of the pattern is BLACK. The overall colour is a deep reddish
brown.

Does anybody ever use this henna? Does anyone know where is it from?
