Henna on bald head post-chemotherapy

I am a complete novice on henna and mendhi, as is my mother who isplanning on using henna on her head if she goes bald from her upcoming
chemotherapy for breast cancer. Does anyone have any experience with
this? Is it SAFE for the scalp, which may be tender and sensitive from
the chemo? Does anyone have any PHOTOS of mendhi on the scalp/head, or
suggestions for photos on the internet? Any advice would be great!
