Henna Substitution

I ordered some henna a while back and was all ready to do my firstself applied design ever. . .It was terrible! I was so bad at drawing
with the bag that I had to give up and throw away all the henna. I've
been afraid to do it ever since. I want to practice, but it's so hard
to come by the real article where I live. . .Is there anything I can
use instead of actual henna to practice with?
