: Other recipes call for incomprehensible things like kala lavang
: tel, nilgiri tel, rosa oil, Shama Tea Oil, white Lavang tel, Shama
: elaichi oil. I think these are just the pronounciation of the
: ingredients in their native language....Maybe Hindi, Maybe Tamil.
: Anyone knows what they are? Me and Jewel were baffled. (BTW I
: am Chinese and Jewel is Malay.)

Hey Lizard... hope i can help clear some words out for you. First
of all the words are in hindi. Here are the words that i know of:

kala = black
levang = clove
tel = oil
elaichi = Cardamomum
And... methi is an indian spice, and it's english name is Fenugreek.
Methi leaves can be bought at any indian grocery store as well as
methi powder.

Also... Shama is probably the name of the brand.

Anyway... hope this helps.

Shaon
