To wet or not, henna hair questionPosted by Isabeau on November 14, 2001 at 16:00:01: Greetings,My roommate is looking at hennaing her hair. We obtained nice fresh henna powder, no chemicals added, and mixed a test batch last night. We wisked in hot water and a little cold-pressed olive oil. We did a strand test overnight to assure it would not get too red incase we left it on too long. Hers was perfect auburn, mine was fire engine red. However, while it is easy to get full coverage when submerging a few strands into a small bowl of paste, is it as easy when combing paste through long, thick hair, without wetting the hair first? We have plenty of henna, but would it dilute the hennas dying property if we do wet her hair? Thanks for any advice.
