About Catherine Cartwright-Jones
I decided I wanted to be an artist when I was 2 years old and got my first crayon. I've classifiec myself as an artist for the 50-some years since then, always working as an artist in one media or another.  I am presently working towards a PhD focusing on Henna history, traditions, patterns and chemistry.  I've been a henna artist and researcher for the last 13 years. Some people think I'm may be the world's leading authority on henna, but I prefer to think of myself as a slightly daft obsessive old cow who can't seem to talk about anything but henna.
