This coming weekend I am scheduled to do mehndi at my first large festival. I've done smaller craft-fair type things before with varying degrees of success, but this one's pretty intimidating. It's Denver's largest outdoor folk music festival. I accepted this job because they ( the Music Society responsible for this event ) wanted all kinds of multicultural goings-on and said I would be perfect. I've been preparing for this thing for weeks, making signs, training helpers, etc, but I still feel like I am forgetting something hugely important. I have a list as long as my arm of things to bring, buy or finish. I KNOW we will be swamped. I know we will probably run out of brochures, business cards or something else. I am mentally prepared for people to question me, my methods, my designs, whatever. Who out there, upon their first really LARGE festival, were hit with those stupid little imaginary demons that tell you things will fail, people will hate your designs, it's going to rain you out, etc. Is this normal? Believe me-I have NO lack of confidence in my skill at mehndi. If any of you have been in this situation before, any advice would be so greatly appreciated. At least to let me know it's not just me. Thanks! :-> Carrie
