Grow the henna plant

Has anyone tried growing the henna plant in greenhouse in USA? How
about buying the leaves and grinding them yourself? I currently have
two different kits sitting on my kitchen table waiting to be used &
tested. One is Carine Fabius Earth Henna body painting kit and one is
simply Mehndi Mud. Has anyone tried either of these? I want to stay
as close to "Pure Henna" as possible. I also make my own bindis if
anyone is interested. you just need to use a tiny drop of eyelash
adheasive (water base comes off).
