NEVER be alone in the house when a client comes over, unless this is a
personal friend. This isn't just paranoia, it's common sense. If
there's any sort of emergency or in case you just need an extra pair
of hands (if the cat has a hairball or if the phone rings).

Beyond that, some people will try to get everything possible for free.
It's just a game some people play, and some seem absolutely
compulsive about it. It's at it's worst if someone thinks of you as
somehow fundamentally (by race, sex, line of work, or ethnic
background) servile. Decide your limits and don't budge. Unless the
person is truely warped, they know what "NO" means. They may have
some damn power issue that compels them to ague with you about
it...but even then, "#$%^ NO!" repeated firmly and often gets the
point across. If they're really thick, send them out the door, or see
if your cat can disgorge that hairball in their general direction.

It's amazing what some people assume when they confuse a working woman
with a sex worker. That's not necessarilly the case with your henna
client this time, but henna long enough and someone will..... One of
the other lines of work often confused with sex work is "seamstress".
(If a guy wants a chamois skin thong custom fitted....there WILL be
somone else in the house at the time.)
