I use carrot bags (triangular bags that orange jelly beans are put in at Easter ... and I'll mail a sample to anyone who asks for one). Some people do well with them, but they're too finiky for others. The big secret is to sift, sift, sift your henna. Then, whether you hand roll a cone (instructions at the link below) or use a jacquard bottle with a metal tip, you can get lovely tiny lines. I mix my paste just a little thicker than stirred up yoghurt, and that squeezes out lines as fine as a thread from my carrot bag ..... that's one of the best things about henna get togethers like Sirius ...the best way to refine your technique and learn is to watch other people! No one has nothing left to learn. Everyone has something to offer.
