: Doug,
:
: If you don't want to sift and want a good price I can recommend
: Jamila henna which I bought from Theadora or the Moroccan henna
sold
: by Kenzi. Both are regulars here on the forum. Both of these hennas
: need no sifting. The Jamila is especially silky smooth. I believe
the
: henna sold by Castle Arts is also Jamila. The Jamila gives a
: wonderful dark cherry red stain and the Moroccan gives more of a
deep
: brown stain.

Great advice. That reminds me of another brand of henna you may be
able to find locally. The name: Karishma Henna. I bought it at and
Indian grocery here. It was 1.99 US for 100gm. It's available in a
box or in a green bag (similar to a small potato chip bag), but be
sure to buy the bag. I could see the powder in the box and it
looked grey.

I didn't have to sift it and the color was great. Of course, I call
this my "Henna Gamble" because you can't see the powder before you
buy it. For me it paid off. If you would like more information
about the supplier, email me and I'll copy it off the package for you.

Julie
