The pine-sol smelling stuff in pre-mixes is indeed some sort of
terpinol, or some other thing that has a lot of terpines, and it DOES
come of fast and not penetrate very far.
The sole of my foot henna with terpines vanished at 13 days, and my
soles usually hold up for 5 weeks. It was doing a vanishing act at 1
week ... but there was never any orange....

when I did Zimra's hands with a mix with heavy tea tree oil .. you
could see the skin beginning to break up on the 3rd day... it went
very, very dark on the back of the hand (coffee dark) but was followed
by a very quick demise.

Curious stuff terpines. I have a whole raft of bottles of essential
oils with high terpine contents to test out at the Sirius Rising Henna
Conference..... to do ferns on us with each leaf a different terp,
across from non-terp henna. If we do this on about 20 people, we
should get a fair test of the different terpines ...
