Gen X and henna?

I am a student at WSU researching a paper on the impression that
Henna has made on Generation X(those born from 1961 to 1981). I have
researched the ancient tradition of Mehndi and now I could really use
some feedback from those of you who have practiced the art or who
wear it. I am currently trying to find a place in the small college
town were I live that practices henna so I can experience it myself,
however none of the tattoo studios have even heard of henna. Any
personnal stories as to why you decided to get a henna tattoo and why
you think they are so popoular among the 20-30 something crowd would
be very useful to me not to mention very much appreciated. Please
