The overly brilliant red lasts a week or so,then it settles down. I'mup for sliming my hair in a week or two.... there's 3/4 to 1" of grey
sneaking out again.
There is great joy and frivolity in getting into a shower with several
other women to henna hair.... not only does the job get done a damn
sight better (no way you can get all the patches in the back without
help) but there's a kindergarten fingerpaint/sandbox/mudpie atmosphere
that is delightful. When we hennaed hair at Brushwood Women's Weekend
we had sooooo much fun! Pretty hair, too! And a great excuse for
Baklava and Turkish coffee afterwards. If you're at Sirius Rising ...
treat yourself to Natasha's Roman Bath and Hamaam classes to henna
hair!
