Still in New York as a prelude to moving here...spent yesterday
hennaing with Kenzi, and was introduced to her simpler method of
mixing henna. And the color ROCKS! No night-before, no long
simmering diva mix, just mix-on-the-spot, sit in the sun, dark
moroccan henna! I recommend it, as long as you remember the shorter
shelf life than Jamila or Body Arts. Mix it and Go! It was a fun
day - we didn't make a lot of money but had a blast nonetheless.
One side note is that the first henna done, right after mixing, isn't
as dark as the second one she did on my hand (after it sat for an
hour), and neither are as dark as the second foot I did myself when I
got back to where I'm staying (which may have to do more with washing
off too soon). But the fingers of my right hand where I wiped some
henna off stained dark burnt-orange fast.
