dark skin

I henna'd my friend a couple of nights ago, she has really dark skin(bit of a sunbed worshiper. I henna'd her upper arm and shoulder. Now
i know that henna does not darken to well in these areas but i
henna'd her hands also a few weeks ago with henna that goes nice and
dark on me but i could hardly see it on her.
Anyone got any good tips for hennaing heavily tanned or naturally
dark skin so you get a result? I would really appreciate it.
