Hi Talia, looked like a gorgeous design. Just something to think
about... doesn't sunscreen fade henna? I haven't tried it, but I've
read to avoid sunscreen on henna because it will fade it quickly.
Maybe try that with lots of hand washing & exfoliating... also, I
have no problem wrapping my palms. I've found that sugar in the
henna helps it to stick really well (maybe the honey makes the henna
paste runnier than sugar might..I haven't tried honey so this is only
a wild guess). Then I use L/S (I know you don't like it)but I think
the main trick is to place cotton batting on whatever your coating
is..New Skin in your case, and make sure that the cotton sticks to
every line of henna. That way the henna is totally covered and
anything that is still liquidy will be soaked up. Then I wrap with
toilet paper, and put on a somewhat loose but warm sock to keep my
hand warm. This works great even when I am sleeping, and the cotton
keeps all the lines seperate from each other so even when my hand
curls a bit the lines don't run together. I always use this method
on myself and used this method on a bride's hands that I henna'd on
April 20th and her henna turned out beautifully. Let us know how
things go. Jen

: Help me! I made the most horribly complicated design last night on
my
: palm--Rouen Cathedral. Took me an hour to apply. Then I New Skinned
: it, and coated it in Vaporub, then (And here was my mistake) I
: wrapped it. I took it off this morning and almost the whole thing
is
: smeared and blurred. This is twice as bad because it's on the plam
of
: my hand--it takes weeks to get rid of a design on my palm, even
when
: I soak my hand in a tub full of bleach every day, then rub sugar
and
: lemon juice between my hands, it still takes over a week. Is there
a
: Really quick way I could get rid of this? Having a design I worked
: this hard on then ruined imprinted on my hand for the next month
: would not be a good thing, it leaves me inclined to want to rip the
: skin right off.
